**  USDDN Qualifier
 
All freestyle divisions will have a Toss/Fetch round.  If there is a high competitor turnout, cuts will be made to the top 15 in Freestyle Round 3.

Freestyle will consist of 3 rounds - Freestyle Round 1, plus Toss/Fetch Round 2, plus Freestyle Round 3.  Following USDDN rules, the top 4 finishers in the Super Open division will receive an invitation to the 2015 US Disc Dog Nationals Championship.  The 5th, 6th and 7th place finishers will be Alternate Qualifiers in the event that someone in the top 5 cannot attend the finals.  Please refer to the USDDN rules for questions about competitors that are previously qualified and how many total dogs a single competitor can qualify with. 

USDDN rules regarding dog age and division will take precedence over SOFK9s rules on divisions.  Any Super Open level competitor who has a dog under 18 months of age may choose to compete in the Open division freestyle since the dog is not eligible to compete in the Super Open division.  

USDDN has specific requirements for approved discs.  See the list of eligible discs below.

Novice freestyle will consist of 2 round of freestyle (no Toss/Catch round).  Freestyle rounds are 60 seconds long.

Pro Cash & Catch division: The winner of this division will receive a cash prize from a percentage of the collected entry fees!

All Toss & Catch rounds will be 60 seconds.  Cash & Catch division will cut to top 10 after round 1.  Novice and Intermediate will be 2 rounds. There are no AWI Qualifying spots for Toss & Catch.

Rules:
  1. Walk your dog before your rounds and always clean up after your dog.  Spray cleaner will be available for any potty breaks that occur on the competition field.
     

  2. Do not let your dog off leash unless it is competing.
     

  3. Do not interrupt Judges while they are judging.
     

  4. Poor sportsmanship of any sort can get you disqualified from the event without a refund.  Unlawful acts will be reported and prosecuted.
     

  5. Be mindful of the run order and have your dog walked and ready when you are called, “On Deck”.  A smooth running event is better for everyone.
     

  6. Have fun.

For USDDN Super Open Freestyle and Super Pro Toss/Fetch, the following disc rules must be followed.
The following brands of discs are allowed for use in USDDN divisions of competition:

  • Hyperflite: K-10 Competition Standard, Frostbite, UV & Midnight Sun
  • Innova Eurablend
  • Innova Hero: 235's: Super Hero/K9 Candy, SuperStars, SuperSwirls
  • DogStar: Crusher Heavy & Crusher T-Rex
  • Hyperflite: Jawz (All variants of Jawz - HyperFlex, XComp, Standard)

    If your dog measures 15.00 inches or less at the shoulder, you may choose to compete with any of the discs defined above or those specified below.

  • Hyperflite: Pup Jawz, Pup Frostbite, Pup Competition Standard

Penalties will apply for mixing disc size/weights.  

For Novice Freestyle and Novice Toss/Fetch, any of the above discs may be used, in addition to the following:
Any Hero, Hyperflite, Fastback variation, Floppy Flyers, Jawz, Euroblends, Super Hero, Hero Xtra, or Kong rubber.  All discs must be considered safe for dog use at judges discretion.  
 
For AWI:
Pro and Open divisions must use only the approved discs listed on the AWI website.

Directions: Exit I-270 Columbus outerbelt on NW side of columbus to US-33 / OH 161 Marysville (Exit 17B). Head west and take first exit on right to Avery Road, turn right / north onto Avery Road, continue about 1.5 miles on Avery Road then turn right / east onto DublinShire Drive. Park is on the left about a half mile just before the Wyondot Elemetry School.

Parking: Parking is on the Left as you enter Earlington Park. Field is behind the pool area in the soccer fields. Equipment unload may be possible along field before and after event at the discretion of the SOFK9s Staff.
